UFE Křtiny (formerly Adamov Forest Estate) was lucky in its history to have enlightened forest managers, whether in the times of the Liechtensteins or professors of the Brno University of Agriculture, as a model school forest enterprise. The current state of the species-diverse forests is the result of over 200 years of continuous highly professional management. Historical documents are stored in the archive of the special-purpose activities at ŠLP Křtiny (including a continuous series of forest management plans from 1841 onwards). Further historical information can be drawn from a wealth of publications, where the main sources are:
